The "FIGHT FOR LIFE!" seminar will focus on just that, perfecting your ability to survival a physical assault on your life when confronted with a combative and violent subject(s).  We will address the mental and physical conditioning needed to "WIN" the fight both in the street and in the courtroom.

 What is NTC/RedMan Training?
NTC/RedMan Training is a series of specialized law enforcement training programs that provide hands-on, realistic scenarios to prepare participants for critical decision-making when real-life confrontations arise.

Programs
There are four program series including Crowd Management, Correctional, Product and Specialized Programs. Instructors provide knowledge and skills in courses such as Immediate Use of Force, Edged Weapons Defense, Water Safety Survival, Force Management Protection, Cell Extraction and more.

Locations
RedMan Training regularly takes places at facilities in the following locations.

  • Northcentral Technical College - Wausau, Wisconsin
  • Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • Lexington, South Carolina
  • London, Ohio

RedMan Training is also pleased to provide its highly specialized programming at locations across the United States and Internationally by request. Law enforcement agencies may request that the RedMan training be held at a location close to their home base. Northcentral Technical College encourages this type of host location requests as it allows for the hands-on skills to be practiced for consistency on home turf and it may be more feasible for the host agency based on budget or fiscal parameters.

Northcentral Technical College
(NTC) is the exclusive provider of the nationally renowned RedMan Training series. As part of these series, NTC conducts certifications for a variety of police equipment manufacturers for less lethal and non-lethal munitions and weaponry covering everything from the technical information required, to the tactical applications needed for courtroom success and real life survival.

Staff
Dave Young is the Director of Specialized Programming for RedMan Training at Northcentral Technical College. Dave graduated from his first law enforcement academy in 1985 and now has over 20 years of combined civilian and military law enforcement and training experience. Dave has served as a certified corrections and law enforcement officer in the state of Florida, as a gate sentry,
patrol officer, watch commander,
investigator, Special Reaction Team member, Leader and Commander in the United States Marine Corps. He participated in and trained both military and law enforcement personnel in crowd management operations throughout the world.

Dave is recognized as one of the leading defensive tactics instructors specializing in crowd management, chemical munitions, specialty impact munitions, protocol and selection of gear and munitions, ground defense tactics and water based defensive tactics. He is a former staff noncommissioned officer from the United States Marine Corps, Chairmen of the Policeone.com advisory board, a member of the Police Magazine advisory board and a technical advisory board member for the Force Science Research Center.

Dave has been featured in national publications and magazine for his innovation and dedication to law enforcement training has been a spokesperson and consultant with CNN and Fox World News on officer survival and equipment safety. Dave is an active member of the American Society for Law Enforcement Training (ASLET), International Law Enforcement Educators and Training Association (ILEETA) National Organization of Deput Sheriffs (NODS) and the President and Founder of International Law Enforcement Aquatics and Waterborne Association (ILEAWA).

Dave works with more than 20 highly skilled adjunct faculty instructors from across the United States to bring NTCs RedMan Training to host locations and at the College's four regularly scheduled program locations. In addition, RedMan Training has partnerships with scores of law enforcement equipment manufacturers, product suppliers and training organizations to ensure that program participants are working with the latest technology and gear available.

NTCs RedMan Training recognizes that the design and capability of a law enforcement team's equipment is critical to a mission's success. As the exclusive provider of RedMan Training, the College is proud of the safety, protection and serviceability of its equipment and product partners.

Additional Offerings
NTC also offers a State of Wisconsin, Department of Justice certified regional training academy providing basic, continuing education, specialized and instructor training in law enforcement, corrections and juvenile detention.
